3. I am insured under HDB Fire Insurance. Can I claim under the HDB Fire Insurance and EPHCI?

EPHCI's building coverage supplements your HDB Fire Insurance policy or its equivalent policy. This means that in the event of an insured peril, you must first make a claim under HDB Fire Insurance or its equivalent before claiming under EPHCI for building cover. We will reimburse you the balance of the loss or damage that is not claimable under your HDB Fire Insurance or its equivalent policy.

4. Is there a difference in my premium if I move from a 3-room flat to a 5-room flat?

There is no difference in the premium across the different HDB flat types.

5. Can I pay an additional premium to increase the sum insured?

EPHCI is a packaged plan and does not provide for an increase to the sum insured through additional premium payments. For other home insurance plans that provide this flexibility, please contact your agent/broker or click here to email us.

To speak to our customer service representatives, please call us at 6419 3000.

6. If I move house during the policy period, what happens to my policy?

If you are moving to another HDB flat, simply inform us in writing and we will update your address in the policy schedule. However, if you are moving to a private apartment, landed home or condominium, please contact us to change your policy as EPHCI only covers HDB flats.

7. How do I file a claim?

To make a claim, you will need to submit a completed claims form.

Depending on the type of claim, you may be required to provide supporting documents such as original receipts of items that are lost or damaged, an estimate of repair costs and photographs of the damage, or police report (if applicable). More information on the type of documents to be submitted for making a claim can be found here.
